UK days counter — track your SRT position

Under the Statutory Residence Test, the number of days you spend in the UK is one of the most important factors. Log your UK visits below and see exactly where you stand against HMRC's key thresholds.

A day in the UK counts if you are here at midnight

HMRC counts a UK day as any day you are in the UK at midnight. Arrival and departure days can sometimes be excluded — but it's safer to count them. Log each trip below and check your thresholds.

Your UK visits this tax year

Tax year: 6 April 2025 — 5 April 2026

A "day" = present in UK at midnight. For the SRT, transit days (in UK for under 24h, in transit to elsewhere) usually don't count — but exceptional circumstances days can be excluded (up to 60 days per year).

Ties: family, accommodation, work (90+ days), 90-day, country. See SRT tool for full details.

Based on your ties. The fewer days you spend in the UK, the lower your risk of being treated as UK resident.
